Role of Florence Nightingale
Florence Nightingale had a desire for a career in medicine, which led her to study nursing. In 1960 she raised a good sum of money and used it to establish the Nightingale school and home for Nurses at St. Thomas Hospital. During her time is Sacutari; she collected data and systematized record keeping practice. She advocated women rights and argued strongly for the removal of restrictions that prevented women from having careers.
